Deejay Alkaline will spend the night in police custody following a question-and-answer session with investigators in relation to an ongoing murder probe.
“He is still with us. He will be with us for tonight,” Senior Superintendent of Police Clinton Laing told THE STAR.
The entertainer, whose given name is Earlan Bartley, along with his attorney, Peter Champagnie, reported to the Area 4 police headquarters in Kingston this morning where he was questioned in relation to an ongoing murder probe. Alkaline was later taken to the Criminal Investigation Branch for further questioning.
The police on Tuesday said Alkaline was wanted for questioning in relation to the murder of Rohan ‘Head’ Morris of Maverley, St Andrew.
The murder took place on January 13.
