American rapper Yazz, known for his role as Hakeem on the hit television series Empire, has been added to the Sumfest line-up.
According to organizers, efforts made to get American R&B singer Chris Brown for a return to the festival for a second time fell through, as Chris landed an Australian tour that clashed with Sumfest dates. Breezy last performed on the Sumfest stage in 2010.
21-year-old rapper Yazz, is the second announcement on this year’s lineup of Reggae Sumfest. American rapper Common was also confirmed earlier this week to grace the stage.
Both artists will perform on International Night One, Friday July 17.
The 2015 staging of the greatest reggae show on earth will commence on July 12.
The three nights of live performances will run from July 16 to 18 at the Catherine Hall venue in Montego Bay, St. James.
