A St. Catherine taxi-driver was charged with having sexual intercourse with his girlfriend’s daughter who is a minor when he appeared in the Spanish Town RM Court before Resident Magistrate Sandra Brooks recently.
The accused, Craig Baldwin, a 30 year-old taxi-driver from West Prospect, Bog Walk is charged with having sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of 16.
Allegations outlined was that on March 25, 2015, police got information that a taxi man and a school girl were in the car having sexual intercourse.
Police went to the location and the minor confirmed that this was the third occasion and that she was the daughter of his girlfriend.
The court was also told that the accused knew the minor since she was three years old.
The minor, who is now 12 years old, also claimed that the relationship between her and the accused started when she was 11-years-old.
The attorney for the accused, Mrs. Leone Hinds-Smith, made bail application and awaits the verification of an address, which is a condition of his bail.
