According to Mundo Deportivo, Manchester United’s interest in Gareth Bale is far from over and could potentially use their entire summer budget to land the player, in which would be the biggest transfer of the year.
United have been interested in Bale since he was a teen but the most concrete move was made in the transitional summer of 2013, where David Moyes took over. United and Madrid fought for Bale but ultimately the player joined RM, as you know.
Any move for Bale could turn a team into Premier League contenders, with the player already establishing himself as a PL proven dynamite during the PL season of 2012/13.
Bale is one of Florentino’s Perez’s favourites as a footballer, so it would take a substantial bid to bring him to Manchester. MD say that a move could be included in the departure of David de Gea, who Madrid have also been chasing all summer. Rafa Benitez also sees Bale as an integral part of his squad, making a move even more unlikely. Nevertheless, anything is possible with Ed Woodward, right?
