The St James police seek the public’s assistance in identifying the body of a male found in Long Bay district in the parish on Sunday, October 11.

The male, believed to be in its twenties, is of brown complexion, slim build, about 173 centimetres (5 feet 8 inches) long and a tattoo of three stars on the right hand.

The body was discovered clad in a khaki shirt, black jeans pants and a pair of red and blue sneakers.

According to reports from the Barrett Town Police, around 6am residents discovered the body and summoned the lawmen.

Upon their arrival, the man was seen lying on the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds.

The scene was processed and the body was removed to the morgue.

The police urge anyone who may be able to identify the body is being asked to contact the Barrett Town Police at 953-7899, the police’s emergency 119 number or the nearest police station.
