Grace Gealey may have kept her wedding to Empire co-star Trai Byers private, but the actress took to social media on Sunday to show her appreciation to well-wishers on behalf of the couple.

“We’re married! God is so good,” she said in a post to Instagram that accompanied a photograph of the newlyweds.

She added, “To all who have extended congrats and well wishes, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Love, Mr & Mrs Byers.”

The Cayman-bred actress jetted down to Grand Cayman to wed Byers.

Byers, who plays Andre Lyon is the eldest son of Luscious Lyon.  Luscious is the ex- fiancé of Anika Calhoun – who plays Gealey on screen.

The ceremony was attended by close relatives and friends. None of the Empire stars were present, it was reported.

Guests dined over plates of steak and lobster, and danced to over hip-hop, disco and reggae, according to Global Grind.

Byers proposed to Gealey last July at a surprise party for her 31st birthday.

Gealey previously told the media that her perfect guy would be spiritually grounded.

“I’m a very spiritual person and I believe in God and all that kind of stuff. So my perfect type of guy would be spiritually grounded, extremely respectful and funny because I love to laugh,” she was quoted as saying.
