Patrons attending next year’s Rebel Salute reggae festival will see some 55 artistes taking the stage at the spacious Richmond Estate in Priory, St Ann.
This was revealed at the launch of the event at the Countryside Club in Kingston on Thursday evening.

Veteran Reggae groups Israel Vibrations and Third World are among the top billed acts. Also billed to perform are Tarrus Riley, Norris Man (who has been on a hiatus in Sweden for several years), Etana, Kabaka Pyramid, upcoming act Leaf of Life, Inner Circle, Freddy McGregor, Luciano, The Mighty Diamonds, Cornel Campbell, Isis and Flames, Queen Ifrica and Tony Rebel.
The concert is being promoted by the Organic Heart Group of Companies and will be held on January 16 and 17.
Former Prime Minister PJ Patterson, guest speaker at the Rebel Salute launch, was given a bag pack.
The launch event included a key note address by former Prime Minister PJ Patterson. In his address, Patterson described ganja as Jamaica’s “green gold” and urged Jamaica to to take advantage of the growing medicinal marijuana market.
