A post mortem examination conducted on the body of 12-year-old Jamelia Johnson has concluded that she was not pregnant.
The police are also awaiting the results of tests conducted on the child to ascertain if she was sexually assaulted.
Jamelia’s body was found in bushes at Riversdale in St Catherine last week, two days after she was reported missing.
Irate residents of the community torched the house of one of her relatives and blamed them for her untimely demise.
The police were forced to escort her relatives from the area for their own protection.
A man who was taken into custody in connection with her murder has been released while police in the parish interrogated her mother on Friday.
