Ishawna took to social media on Wednesday to reflect her growth in the Dancehall industry while addressing her biggest hater.
“4 years ago I was told I wouldn’t last more than 6 months in the music industry….wow! I’m still here hun!!!?Now put some respect on my name b**h!!!,” the former Downsound Records artiste wrote and many Dancehall fans believe her message was aimed at ex-fiancé Foota Hype.
Following Ishawna’s breakup with outspoken Dancehall selector, she secured her spot as one of the top female entertainers in the genre and most controversial.
Foota Hype and the “Equal Rights” singer called it quits back in 2014 which is exactly four years ago so Dancehall fan immediately started to speculate that he was the one that doubted her career would last.
Ishawna is known for songs including “Insta Boy”, “Walking Dead” and “Restraining Order”.
