A 32-year-old Jamaican man has been charged with rape and indecent assault of a teenage girl in the Cayman Islands.

He was charged on Wednesday, according to the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS). The man’s identity has not been released by the police.

“The man was visiting the victim’s home as a guest at the time of the incident, which is alleged to have occurred this past Monday, 12 December,” the RCIPS said in a news release, adding that “The police received a report of the crime the same day and launched an immediate investigation.”
