The main suspect behind last month’s fatal shooting of a pastor and a deacon in Montego Bay, St James, has been charged with murder.
But the identity of the suspect remains a public mystery because he is facing other criminal charges.
This is while investigators are in search of a second suspect who has been linked to the killings.
The pastor, 27-year-old Ryan Jackson, and deacon Buckclair Smith, 23, from Rose Heights in St James, were killed on November 12.
Police reports were that the two clergymen were outside a hardware store on Kerr Crescent, when they were approached by two men who shot them dead on the spot.
A police team that was in the area at the time, challenged the gunmen, who were chased onto Dudley Crescent, where one of the men was shot and injured and taken into custody, while the other escaped.
The police are still trying to establish a motive for the killing, as the two victims were not robbed.
