Sure, the world was a’twitter about a certain royal couple making their stateside arrival (!) yesterday, but just a few hundred miles south of New York City, Michelle Obama sartorially reminded everyone that she is the U.S.’ head princess in charge. While attending The Kennedy Center Honors in Washington DC last night, Mobama donned a twinkling, blush pink Monique Lhuillier gown—and looked absolutely gorgeous.
Even the audience had to applaud, the getup was so good. (Okay, they were actually applauding the First Couple’s arrival, but still.)
Stephen Colbert hosted the event, and Tom Hanks, Lily Tomlin, and Sting were among the major names who were honored—not to mention countless famous attendees (Meryl Streep, Lady Gaga, and Bruce Springsteen, to name a few). But let’s face it: FLOTUS stole the show.
