Vybz Kartel has reportedly been transferred to the St Catherine Adult Correctional Centre in Spanish Town.
The incarcerated dancehall superstar who is gearing up for his upcoming appeal set for July 9, arrived shortly after 3:00pm on Tuesday.
According to reports, Vybz Kartel’s co-accused Kahiro Jones was also sent to the Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre, formerly known as the General Penitentiary (GP).
Vybz Kartel’s transfer comes after the announcement that veteran entertainer Ninjaman was moved to the Horizon Adult Remand Centre in Kingston following his leaked prison video going viral last month.
In the clip which surfaced late April, Ninjaman, whose given name is Desmond Ballentine, can be seen smoking a spliff, while showing off his brand new pair of Clarks to fellow inmates and jokingly telling them he is a modern day bad man.
“A we mek jail look like blood*****t road. Clarks clean like whistle, bottom brand new,” the former Downsound records deejay said as inmates cheered him on, “We a modern badman wid modern badness,” he continued.
This is the second time Ninjaman has been relocated since the start of the year. Back in January he was moved after reportedly getting the cold shoulder from fellow inmates and some prison officials.
